The Ride Against AIDS

The Ride Against AIDS is a unique, powerful cross-country bike ride dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the FACE AIDS movement to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. 100% of funds raised go to Partners In Health and FACE AIDS’ operations in Rwanda to provide health care and socio-economic support to HIV-affected individuals. The Ride began in 2007, when two friends of FACE AIDS biked to raise $10,000 to support AIDS treatment and comprehensive health care in Rwanda. In 2009, two riders raised $22,000! In addition to fundraising, riders speak with community groups, camps, Rotary Clubs, schools, FACE AIDS chapters, and individuals across the country about FACE AIDS work, inspiring people to take action against the AIDS pandemic. Planning for the 2010 Ride Against AIDS is underway, and we thrilled to open this exciting, rewarding, and important opportunity to more riders.

How do I support the ride?

Make a donation! 100% of funds raised go to Partners In Health and FACE AIDS’ programs in Rwanda, providing comprehensive health care and socio-economic support to HIV-affected individuals. The Riders also need in-kind donations (e.g. food, drinks, biking gear, etc.), use of a supporter vehicle, and housing along the route. Please email rideagainstaids@faceaids.org if you can help.
