You'll hear from and meet Dr. Paul Farmer, who will deliver the keynote address; be part of the "Adopt a Health Center" Campaign kick-off; and much more. Register now.
Rwanda Student Leadership Trip
Who: For all FACE AIDS chapter members
When: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but due September 15, 2011. The trip will take place in late December 2011.
Where: Rwanda
The Rwanda Student Leadership Trip is an exciting opportunity for a select group of FACE AIDS members to travel to Rwanda to learn more about the context in which FACE AIDS works and how we aspire to make a difference. This service-learning trip will travel through the capital city of Kigali and the three rural sites of Partners In Health and FACE AIDS — Kirehe, Burera, and Rwinkwavu. Trip participants will have the opportunity to meet FACE AIDS Chapter Members in Rwanda, visit members of pinmaking associations and see the Partners In Health clinics and hospitals. This is a special chance for American and Rwandan FACE AIDS members to connect, for chapter members from different US schools to form a strong community with one another, and for chapter members to explore the complexity of delivering comprehensive health care in resource-poor settings.
