UCSD World AIDS Day

World AIDS day will be recognized by FACE AIDS at UCSD and many other organizations on campus including the LGBT Resource Center, the Student Health Association, HNRC, and the ARUSHA project.
There will be the MEMORIAL QUILT that is the largest ongoing community arts project in the world. Also, cool events will be taking place at the Cross Cultural Center, the Loft and the Ballroom in Price Center East.
Get ready for movies, arts and crafts, unique speakers, and of course condom roses. We hope to see you there!

Townspeople Game Day!

Join us for a fun day of games with the residents of Townspeople! Townspeople is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that has provided a wide variety of housing and supportive services exclusively to the HIV/AIDS community since 1984. Their mission is based upon the principle that men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS deserve the best possible housing resources.
This Sunday offers a chance to get to know and hang out with the residents at Townspeople and play a variety of fun board games with them from Pictionary to Scattergories to Monopoly! (We will also provide light refreshments and snacks)
The event is from 12-3pm, and we would love for you to join us. We will be meeting at Gilman Parking Structure at 11:30 for all those who need a ride or want to carpool.

AIDS Awareness Night @ Revelle College

If you get a chance, drop by the Revelle Conferene Room ABC by Plaza (cafeteria) for AIDS awareness night next Thursday! We'll likely have an information booth at the event to distribute educational information and to get the word out about Face AIDS.

During the winter '09 College Democrat/Republican Debate at UCSD, all the participating panelists sported the FACE AIDS beaded awareness pins, as a part of UCSD's How Do You Wear Your Pin Campaign! The Debate, which will be broadcasted on TMC-TV (Thurgood Marchall College) and hopefully campus wide, will feature a FACE AIDS video tag at the end, to tell students about our efforts and how they can get involved...the broadcast is TBA, but you can check out the video tag for now on youtube at:

"Yesterday" Film Screening

Tie-Dye T's to fight HIV - Session I

Tie-dye t-shirts with Face AIDS, to help raise awareness and fundraise for the fight againt AIDS!!
All you have to do is bring $3 & your own white t-shirt (to cover the cost of dyes) or $6 to use our t-shirts. We'll have tie-dying experts who can show you all sorts of cool designs and we'll take care of the washing, drying, etc. for you! Leave your tie-dyed shirts with us and we'll have them for you the following Tuesday ready-to-wear on Library Walk :)
*If you'd also like to help make t-shirts for us to sell, we'd love to have you drop by as well!
